Conversations with your children about sex

This past Sunday I spoke on the topic, God's power to resist. In one part of my message I encouraged parents to begin talking about sex with their children at home so that we can impart the messages we want them to hear from us and not just what they'll pick up from others along the way.

Talking about sex with your children can be awkward for everyone involved but it's too important not to. It can be difficult for parents to know how and when to address that subject with their kids.

I recently watched a seminar by Mary Flo Ridley on how to talk with your kids about sex. I love the simple and biblical approach Mary Flo takes on engaging kids on this topic. Her 40-minute presentation is available in our church's RightNow Media library. This would be a great resource to go through as an individual, a couple or in a group as you prepare to talk with your kids about sex.
