MCC BC's New Foundations program was designed as an intervention to alleviate child poverty among low income families, particularly single newcomer parents, who face mulitiple challenges. MCC currently runs programs in Surrey and Vancouver and is opening a new location at Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship on October 24 2017.

Through seminar style workshops and experiential learning groups, New Foundations provides participants with the opportunities to better manage their incomes, save to achieve goals, develop new employment skills, and through all of this develop life skills within a Canadian context. (Story)

Potential participants are encouraged to fill in the application form below and email their completed form to Patti Holm (New Foundations Project Facilitator).

We are looking for volunteers who will be available between sessions to help the participants strengthen their understanding of the workshops (15 - two hour sessions taught by the program coordinator over a 6-8 month period), and encourage them in this process.
