What an incredible weekend at the MCC Festival for World Relief! We're grateful to everyone who generously participated to improve food security across the globe.
The Abbotsford Tradex was alive with joy, music, and purpose as thousands came together to enjoy local food for global good. We welcomed an estimated 12,400 attendees and were supported by 1,000 volunteers who made it all possible. The Cyclathon was a highlight, with dozens of participants cycling for a cause and helping raise additional funds for food projects.
Food sales hit an all-time high — Friday night alone was up 10% from last year, making it the biggest food day in the Festival’s 56-year history!
So far, $998,420 and counting has been raised to support vital food projects in Ukraine, South Sudan, Haiti, and right here in British Columbia. Our fundraising goal for these critical initiatives is in reach, and it's not too late to help!
Your support reaches people like Martha.
In November 2024, Martha Nyagier Temdor, a 32-year-old widow and mother of three, received emergency food from MCC’s partner, Episcopal Church of South Sudan – South Sudanese Development and Relief Agency, in a camp for displaced people in Rubkona, Unity State, South Sudan. With food prices soaring and no land to farm, Martha had been struggling to feed her children. These supplies helped her family make it through another season.
Would you help us meet our full commitment of $1.23 million to fund these four projects?
Every dollar you give is matched up to 4:1 to provide food and hope to families like Martha’s.
