This week, we welcomed eight volunteers from Salmon Arm BC, Charing Cross Ontario, Leamington Ontario, Pain Court Ontario, Tilbury Ontario and Port Moody BC.
The weather was mainly sunny in the early part of the week with rainy periods.
Here is a brief update on progress at the MDS new build site.
Working on the efforts of last week’s framing, the crew worked at completing the sheeting of the roof and nearly completed the shingling of the roof on the first day. After shingling the roof, work focussed on wrapping the house, installing windows and doors, soffits, fascia and vinyl siding. The electrical and plumbing was roughed in. the weather has cooperated with our work with some showers at night and overcast or clear days.
The structural inspection was completed, and we got our checkmark . Our electrical rough in inspection also happened at the very end of the week and it passed.
We continue to value your prayers for safety. At the time of writing we are looking for a mechanical installer to install the air exchanger and range hood venting. God knows our needs.
We are in regular contact with the building inspectors which have an office 15 minutes away from the site.
Plans for the upcoming week. We hope to complete the insulation and poly installation this week. Next inspections include the insulation and poly inspection.
