Sewing Bee

Did you know Women's Connections has a Sewing Bee on the 1st Wednesday of every month from 10am-12:30pm! Monica Severinson hosts this event, which is a time of connection and coming together to help make projects that are used for MCC ministries throughout the year! 

This past month, January 2026, they had a great morning of sewing and cording - 105 school kit bags, 11 gowns and 23 tshirts and scraps cut into comforter blocks were completed! Thanks so much to those who sew items between each Sewing Bee to prepare, cord, trim and cut. 

This all was followed by a surprise lunch for Mido’s birthday. Thank you to June for providing the delicious lunch and to Monica for providing your home and warm hospitality. The 1st Wednesday of the month is such a joy. The next Sewing Bee is February 4th if you would like to join this wonderful group. 

Bring a portable sewing machine if you have it, and neutral thread. Other jobs include cutting, cording bags and ironing if you don't sew.
